Playoff Update heading into Week 20

Toronto Rock (13-3) have clinched a playoff berth and a home playoff game. Toronto can clinch the top overall seed throughout the playoffs with a win vs. Rochester, OR a San Diego loss at Saskatchewan.

San Diego Seals (12-4) have clinched a playoff berth and a home playoff game.

Albany FireWolves (10-6) have clinched a playoff berth. Albany can clinch a home playoff game with a win at Panther City.

Georgia Swarm (10-7) have clinched a playoff berth. Georgia can clinch a home playoff game with a Calgary win at Buffalo, AND a Vancouver win vs. New York, AND an Albany win at Panther City.

Buffalo Bandits (9-7) can clinch a playoff berth with a win vs. Calgary, OR

A San Diego win at Saskatchewan, AND a New York win at Vancouver, AND an Albany win at Panther City.

– Vancouver Warriors (5-11) can clinch a postseason berth with two wins and two Colorado losses.

– Buffalo Bandits (12-4) can clinch the top seed in the East and throughout the playoffs in two different ways:

a) Two wins, vs. New England on Saturday and vs. San Diego on April 27.

b) One win and a Georgia loss vs. Philadelphia on Saturday.

– The Bandits can clinch a first round home playoff game with one win or a Toronto loss vs. Vancouver on April 26.

The 2018-2019 NLL regular season concludes in Week 20 before the NLL Playoffs start the weekend of May 3-5.

A total of eight NLL teams, the top four clubs in each division’s standings, will qualify for the playoffs. The East and West Division winners will be seeded #1 within their respective divisions and play the #4 seed, while the #2 and #3 seeds play each other in the first round, with the higher seed hosting round 1.

The two first round winners from each division will face off in the Division Finals in a one game series, hosted by the highest remaining seed. The East and West Division winners will then play a best two-of-three game series in the NLL Finals. The highest remaining seed will host games one and three, if necessary.

Playoff Clinching Scenarios Week 18

The Colorado Mammoth (6-9) can clinch a playoff berth this weekend. The Mammoth will clinch with a win vs. Rochester on Friday or a Vancouver loss vs. Philadelphia on Sunday.

The Buffalo Bandits (12-4), San Diego Seals (9-6), and the Saskatchewan Rush (8-6) have the opportunity to clinch home games in the first round of the playoffs, and the Seals can clinch the top seed in the West Division.

The Bandits will clinch a home game in the first round with a Toronto loss vs. New England on Friday.

The Seals will clinch a home game in the first round with a win vs. Saskatchewan on Friday or a Calgary loss vs. Georgia on Friday. The Seals can clinch the top seed in the West Division with a win vs. Saskatchewan on Friday and a Saskatchewan loss vs. Philadelphia on Saturday.

The Rush will clinch a home game in the first round with a win at San Diego on Friday, a win vs. Philadelphia on Saturday, and a Calgary loss vs. Georgia on Friday.

In addition, the Vancouver Warriors (4-11) face the prospect of being eliminated from playoff consideration.

The Mammoth will clinch with a win vs. Saskatchewan on Saturday.
