Six Nation Chiefs advance to Mann Cup

After dispatching the Peterborough Lakers 4 games to none and claiming the Major Series Lacrosse Championship.

The Six Nations Chiefs will travel out west to British Columbia to play the winner of the Western Lacrosse Association final between the Langley Thunder and the New Westminster Salmonbellies.

 

PLL open to talks with MSL and WLA

The co-founder of the Premier Lacrosse League says he is open to having discussions with Canada’s two leading senior leagues about how to best share players.

However, Paul Rabil says finding a resolution to their dispute will be “difficult.”

A provision in the PLL’s standard contracts prevent its players from competing in other sporting events, including lacrosse, when the field league’s season is on.

Most of the Premier Lacrosse League’s season overlaps with the two indoor leagues’ season.

Rabil says the clause is necessary for insurance reasons and is standard among other professional sports leagues in North America.

We already know that the NLL plans to start on the weekend of April 9th 2021. Now according to Currier the plan is run a full 18 game season.

Of course plans can and will change moving forward. If the NLL moves forward with an 18 game season starting April 9 2021. How will this affect the NLL players who spend their summers playing in the MLL and PLL?

The Adanacs jumped out to a 5-0 lead. Before the Shamrocks got on the board. The early hole. Was to much for the Shamrocks to dig themselves out of. Bret Hickey 2g 3a led the Adanacs attack. Adam Shute made 35 saves. Rhys Duch five goals led the Shamrocks. Cody Hagedorn made 17 saves.

Well the Timbermen were never in the game. Burnaby went on an 8-0 run. To put the game away. The Timbermen scoring two goals in the third period. Robert Church had 4g to lead the Lakers. Dan Lewis made 38 saves. The Timbermen scored both goals on the powerplay.
