Paul Day steps down as Wings Head Coach

Update from the Peterborough Examiner

“I want a coaching staff that has a lot of NLL experience either as players or coaches or a mix of both,” Day said.

But remains General Manager.

Full release can be found HERE

With Day constructing an underachieving roster going on five years now.  Not sure keeping Day on as the General Manager is the right move here.

Day’s contract runs through the 2025-2026 season with a team option for a two year extension through the 2027-2028 season.

Paul Day’s time behind the bench.

2019  4-14
 2020  8-6
 2021  Covid
 2022  9-9
 2023  9-9
 2024 6-12
 Overall  36-50

Week 21 Philadelphia 3 Rochester 12

At least the Wings faithful can celebrate the end of the Paul Day era.
