Week 12 Buffalo 12 Halifax 14

Warren Hill gave up seven goals in the first 20:40 and was pulled for Drew Hutchinson and the Bandits led the Thunderbirds 8-4 at halftime.

The Thunderbirds flipped the script after halftime time and outscored the Bandits 9-4 over the last two quarters.

Ryan Benesch scored five goals and dished out one assist and Clarke Peterson scored two goals and dished out eight assists and Austin Shanks scored two goals and dished out seven assists for the Thunderbirds.

Drew Hutchison made 21 saves in relief and Halifax went 32 for 32 at the X.

Halifax improves to 6-3 and Buffalo falls to 5-4

Week 10 Halifax 15 Philadelphia 14 OT

The Thunderbirds led 6-5 coming out of the locker room after halftime and went on a five goal run to open the third quarter and take a 11-5 lead.

Philly chipped away at the Thunderbirds lead eventually taking a 14-13 lead on a goal by Blaze Riorden. Only to watch helplessly as Ryan Benesch scored with 1:22 remaining to tie the game at 14-14 and Cody Jamieson to put the dagger into the Wings with 14:39 remaining in OT.

Ben McIntosh scored three goals and added two assists and Joe Resetarits scored two goals and added two assists and Zach Higgins made 50 saves.

Wing Dings

Philly simplified the defense, but Higgins was once again subject to a shooting gallery and Philly struggled to pick up loose balls and got dominated at the X going 7 for 33 at the X

Halifax improves to 4-3 and Philadelphia falls to 2-5

You are not going to win many games in the NLL scoring eight goals in sixty minutes.

Ryan Benesch continues to defy father time and scored five goals and Clarke Petterson scored three goals and added two assists and Warren Hill made 42 saves for the Thunderbirds.

Halifax improves to 3-3 and Rochester falls to 3-3.

Week 7 Toronto 11 Halifax 9

The teams traded goals to open the game before the Rock went on a four goal run to take a 5-1 run lead after one quarter. The Thunderbirds spent the rest of the game battling back and came up short.

Corey Small led the Rock attack netting four goals and adding one assist and Nick Rose made 45 saves.

Randy Staats scored three goals and added two assists for the Thunderbirds.

Toronto improves to 4-0 and Halifax falls to 2-3.

Trailing 10-8 in the fourth quarter the Firewolves scored four unanswered goals to secure the come from behind win.

ROY favorite Alex Simmons scored two goals and added three assists and Doug Jamieson made 44 saves.

Six different players scored at least one goal for the Thunderbirds.

Albany improves to 5-0 and Halifax falls to 2-2.

It wasn’t pretty but Philly found a way to get their first ever win in Halifax.

Trailing 10-6 coming out of the locker room after halftime. The Wings outscored the T-Birds 10-5.

Jack Jasinski scored the game winner with 12:04 remaining in OT.

Mitch Jones paced the Philly offense scoring four goals and adding four assists and Joe Resetarits netted one goal and added six and became the top scoring American player in league history.

Zach Higgins made 53 saves. (Philly needs better players and or a better system on the back end. )

Philadelphia improves to 2-2 and Halifax falls to 2-1.

The T-Birds are in mid season form and the Rush are not.

The Thunderbirds opened the game on a four goal run and led 9-4 after one quarter and 11-5 at halftime and that was game set match.

Clarke Peterson stepped up and scored five goals and added three assists to lead the Thunderbirds.  Eight different Thunderbirds found the back of the net tonight against the Rush.

Zach Mann was the lone bright spot for the Rush scoring three goals and dishing out three assists.

Frank Scigliano is probably wishing he was back in San Diego.

Thunderbirds improve to 1-0 and the Rush fall to 0-1.
