The Thunderbirds opened the game on a four goal run and led the Rock 4-0 after one quarter. The Rock responded with a three goal run to open the second quarter and the Thunderbirds led 5-3 at halftime.
Trailing 7-4 entering the fourth quarter, the Rock offense came to life scoring four goals while Nick Rose and the Rock defense held the Thunderbirds to one goal to force overtime.
Where Mark Matthews scored the game winner with 12:35 left in overtime for the Rock.
Toronto improves to 12-3 and Halifax falls to 8-7.
