Could NLL Free Agency be pushed back?

Hearing whispers unconfirmed at this time, that NLL free agency will now open Saturday August 6, 2022.

With the current CBA expiring today 7/31/2022 this news would not be all that surprising.

As far as talks on a new CBA we understand the lines of communications are still open at this time.

Mike Poulin retires

After a 15 year playing career goaltender Mike Poulin, has announced his retirement.

But Poulin, will stay involved with the Swarm and transitions to a front office role becoming Assistant General Manager and Player Acquisition and Development.

Poulin is the Swarm’s franchise leader in wins (49), saves (2,973), and minutes played (4,519.78).

Now the Swarm have a hole in net that they have to fill.

July 26 Transactions

The Albany FireWolves have qualified Colton Watkinson and Jacob Ruest as per Section 7.1 A2 of the CBA.

The Saskatchewan Rush have offered Kyle Rubisch the Franchise Tag as per Section 7.2 of the CBA. The player has declined the Franchise Tag offer.

The Saskatchewan Rush have offered Chris Corbeil the Franchise Tag as per Section 7.2 of the CBA. The player has declined the Franchise Tag offer.

The Saskatchewan Rush have qualified Adam Shute and Mike Messenger as per Section 7.1 A2 of the CBA.

Wings hire Jeff McComb as Offensive Coordinator

While McComb is an upgrade over the Paul Day coached offense. Does this move really make a difference?

Given the Wings are an older team with declining skill coming out the front door?

The Wings scored 185 goals during regular season and the 5 on 5 offensive was a dumpster fire only to be bailed out by the Man up unit.

PBLA announces cities

The Professional Box Lacrosse Association today announced seven cities for the inaugural  PBLA season.

  • Binghamton, New York
  • Charlotte, North Carolina
  • Elmira, New York
  • Hampton Roads (Virginia)
  • New England (Manchester, Springfield)
  • Syracuse, New York
  • Trenton, New Jersey

However, the PBLA did NOT announce the seven Home Arenas for each individual teams today.

July 18 Transactions

The New York Riptide have offered Callum Crawford the Franchise Tag as per Section 7.2 of the CBA. The player has accepted the Franchise Tag designation.

The Panther City Lacrosse Club has qualified Connor Sellars, Liam Patten, Matt Hossack as per Section 7.1 A2 of the CBA.

The Panther City Lacrosse Club have signed Nick Damude to a three year agreement.

The San Diego Seals have placed the Franchise Tag on Frankie Scigliano as per 7.2 of the CBA.
