Rock statement on Capactiy Limits

With Thursday’s announcement about further limitations on arena capacity in Ontario, we will provide an update on our upcoming home game early next week.

Until then, we appreciate your patience while we navigate this new development.

So it sounds like the Rock were caught off guard with this announcement. How the Rock plan to operate with further reduced capacity is going to be extremely interesting.

Assuming the NLL does NOT postpone more games moving forward.

The Philadelphia Wings have placed Practice Players Ben French and Blake Gibson-McDonald on the Practice Player List from the Active Roster.

December Attendance

A total of 113,536 fans attended nineteen NLL games during the month of December for a league wide average of 5,975 fans per game.

No NLL team was able to break the 10,000 attendance mark during the month of December,  not even once.

Philly is averaging 3,912 through two home games and Buffalo had 7,395 for their lone home game in December.

Again another disappointing December for NLL attendance, but we imagine COVID 1984 is playing a large part in keeping fans at home and watching on ESPN and TSN.

Or maybe the NLL  has failed to recognize the changing attendance habits of its fans, which COVID 1984 has only magnified. .

  • Friday, December 31, New York Riptide at Colorado Mammoth
  • Friday, December 31, San Diego Seals at Saskatchewan Rush

New York Post covers the NLL

For years the national media ignored the NLL.

But when two goalies square off during a game, it becomes national news.

Maybe it’s time for the NLL to embrace fighting and encourage more physical play as whole.
