EASTERN DIVISION:

The Georgia Swarm (11-4) have clinched the East Division title, which includes a home playoff game.  The Swarm can clinch the best overall record in the League with a WIN Saturday at Buffalo AND Saskatchewan LOSS vs. Toronto.

The New England Black Wolves (8-8) can clinch a playoff spot with a WIN Saturday at Rochester.  New England  CANNOT clinch a playoff spot this weekend with a loss.  A New England win and Toronto loss would give New England a home playoff game.   New England wins the tie-breaker with Toronto and no three-way ties are possible.

The Toronto Rock (8-8) can clinch a playoff spot with a WIN Saturday at Saskatchewan.  Toronto can clinch a playoff spot with a Buffalo loss and New England win.

The Buffalo Bandits (6-10) can be ELIMINATED from playoff consideration with a LOSS Saturday vs. Georgia.  Buffalo can be eliminated with New England and Toronto wins.

The Rochester Knighthawks (5-10) can be ELIMINATED from playoff consideration with a LOSS Saturday vs. New England.

 

WESTERN DIVISION:

The Saskatchewan Rush (10-5) have clinched a playoff spot and a home playoff game.  The Rush can clinch the Western Division title with a WIN Saturday vs. Toronto or with a Colorado loss.

The Colorado Mammoth (9-7) have clinched a playoff spot.  The Mammoth can clinch a home playoff game with a WIN Saturday at Vancouver.

The Vancouver Stealth (7-9) can clinch a playoff spot with a WIN Saturday vs. Colorado

The Calgary Roughnecks (7-10) can be ELIMINATED from playoff consideration if Vancouver wins vs. Colorado.

History

April 16, 1994: The Philadelphia Wings overcame a three-goal halftime deficit and defeated Buffalo 26-15 to deny the Bandits a third consecutive championship in front of a capacity crowd of 16, 284 in Buffalo’s Memorial Auditorium. Paul Gait scored eight goals – seven of them in the second half – to win the MVP award. The game was broadcast live by ESPN.

Summary

Unfortunately one of these teams will make the playoffs in the West.  Stealth outscored the Roughnecks 6-2 in the forth quarter to secure the win. Rhys Duch led the Stealth with two goals and seven assists.  Curtis Dickerson led the Roughnecks with five goals and one assists. Stealth drew a season high 3,725.

Vancouver improves to 7-9 and Calgary falls to 7-10.

Knighthawks offensive woes continue in Colorado.  Only scoring one goal in the first half and went into the locker room trailing Colorado 9-1 at halftime.  Mammoth were led by Callum Crawford with two goals and three assists.

Colorado improves to 9-7 and Rochester falls to 5-10.

Georgia improves to 11-4 and Buffalo drops to 6-10.

Bandits keep playoff hopes alive with victory over Rock.  Rock jumped out to an early 4-0 lead after fifteen minutes. Got outscored 13-4 over the final 45 minutes, including a goose egg in the third quarter.

Dhane Smith led the Bandits with three goals and two assists. Anthony Cosmo made 46 saves.

Buffalo improves to 6-9 and Toronto falls to 8-8
