New England 10 Minnesota 9

The Blackwolves snap a five game losing streak, with the win. Pretty boring game to watch. When the feed decided to cooperate.

Pat Saunders opened the scoring for the Blackwolves. That was followed up by Mark Cockerton putting New England up 2-0. Minnesota scored the next four goals. Jordan MacIntosh x2 and singles by Shayne Jackson and Dean Hill.  Before New England got one back from Joel White. Shane McDonald netted a goal. That was the last goal before halftime. To put Minnesota up 5-3.

Dean Hill got the Swarm up 6-3 early in the third quarter. Before New England got goals from Joel White and Brent Bucktooth. Trailing 6-5 entering the fourth quarter. New England scored the next four goals. To go up 9-6. Minnesota rallied to score the next three goals. To tie the game at 9-9. Before Kevin Crowley scored the game winner with 1:09 left.

Rookie Mark Cockerton led New England with five points. Scoring two goals and adding three assists. Evan Kirk made made 33 saves. Dean Hill scored three goals for the Swarm. Zach Higgins made 41 saves.

The Rock earn a split. Of the home and home series. Trailing 9-8 after three quarters. Rob Hellyer tied the game at 9-9. Fifty three seconds into the fourth period. Ryan Benesch put the Bandits up 10-9. However, Kaisey Beirnes tied the game at 10-10. To force overtime.

That is where Bret Hickey scored the game winner 2:07 into OT. To give the Rock the win. Rob Hellyer led the Rock with six points. On three goals and three assists. Brandon Miller made 42 saves. For the Bandits Ryan Benesch had five points. On two goals and three assists. Anthony Cosmo made 49 saves.

Buffalo 15 Toronto 12

This one got to sting for the Rock. Up 11-8 after three quarters. Rock collapse in the last fifteen minutes. The Bandits scored three straight goals. All scored by Alexander Kedoh-Hill. Rob Hellyer got one back for the Rock.  Putting the Rock up 12-11. The Bandits proceeded to score the next four goals to pull away.

Ryan Benesch led the Bandits offense with nine points. Scoring four goals, and five helpers. Anthony Comso made 51 saves. For the Rock Rob Hellyer had an eight point night. Scoring two goals with six helpers. Nick Rose made 39 saves. At least the Rock will not have to wait long for the rematch. As the teams play in Toronto Saturday night.

The teams combined for 147 penalty minutes. As the fistacuffs were flying as the game was coming to an end. See if the NLL issues any discipline anytime soon.

The Roughnecks are showing a pulse. With a depleted roster. The Roughnecks fought back from an early 3-0 hole. Before tying the game at 6-6 going into halftime. Each team scoring five goals in the second half. Daryl Veltman netted the game winner 4:55 into OT. Keeping the Roughnecks playoff hopes to live another week. Shawn Evans led all Roughnecks with eight points. Scoring two goals and six helpers. Daryl Veltman netted four goals. To pace the Roughnecks attack. Mike Poulin made 41 saves.

For the Rush Mark Matthews had a seven point night. Scoring two goals and assisting on five more. Robert Church and Zack Greer combined for six goals. Aaron Bold made 36 saves. Another disappointing crowd in Edmonton this afternoon.

The Rock continue to put distance between themselves, and the rest of the East division. Trailing 3-2 after the first quarter. The Rock outscored the Mammoth 6-2 in the second quarter. To take control of the game. Colorado offense disappeared in the second half. Only scoring four goals. Rob Hellyer, led the Rock with 11 points. Scoring three goals and adding eight helpers. Stephan LeBlanc chipped in with eight points. Scoring four goals and four helpers. Nick Rose made 46 saves.

For Colorado Grant, Jones, and Westervelt combined for two goals.
